ICICI Bank Sri Lanka launches Remittance Card

ICICI Bank Sri Lanka launched a card-based remittance product to provide a convenient and hassle free alternative to receive remittances.

The first such card was presented to Matheesha Panchala Perera of Bandaragama who receives money regularly from his brother, a permanent resident of the UK.

Hitherto, Perera received money via various informal channels which necessitated his coming to Colombo, which meant he had to travel over 30 miles from his home. With ICICI Bank's Remittance Card, he no longer has to make the trek to Colombo, thus saving time and money.
