WPC Teacher vacancies to be filled shortly

The Education Department of the Western Provincial Council has decided to fill teacher vacancies, before the end of this year.

Four hundred and eighty seven vacancies exist in provincial schools in three districts at present and may increase to a thousand by the end of this year because of retirement, a high ranking official of the Western Provincial Council Education Department said.

The vacancies will be filled for Mathematics, Science, English, Arts and Technology subjects.
