Kidney transplant
K. S. Jayaweera (30) a home guard and a father of one, of Ehetuwagama,
Ambagahawewa, Nochichiyagama is suffering from acute renal failure and
is currently receiving dialysis treatment at the Anuradhapura Teaching
Hospital. Consultant Nephologist, Dr. D. T. D. J. Abeysekera has
recommended a kidney transplant to save his life.
The surgery will have to be done at a Government hospital but a sum
of Rs. 300,000 as cost of medicine and other disposables had to be
found.
Jayaweera says he is unable to find the funds due to his family's
present financial plight. He requests philanthropists and the public to
assist his cause by sending whatever financial contribution possible to
help expedite the surgery.
All contribution should be remitted to joint A/C number 1-026084-1 at
the Bank of Ceylon, Nochchiyagama branch.
Growth Hormone Deficiency
Mast. Farhan Mohamed (9) is suffering from isolated growth hormone
deficiency, diagnosed Dr. Shamya de Silva, Consultant Pediatrician, Lady
Ridgeway Hospital, Colombo 8 and the treatment is not available at
government hospitals. His father, M.B.M. Farook of Kahatowita,
Nittambuwa has four other children out of which three are daughters, is
a minor employee at a small firm.
His earnings are not enough to meet this cost of the medicines which
cost around Rs. 15,000 per month and appeals to the generous public to
remit their contributions to A/C No. 176200103285761 of People's Bank,
Mid City Branch, Colombo 11.
Cochlear implant
Two year old H. Pavani Shehara at 374/4, Galle Rd, Ratmalana is
suffering from hearing impediment.
For corrective treatment and cochlear implant costs will amount to Rs.
17 lakhs.
Her mother, Mrs. Rasanjaya Fernando seeks help from the public, who
may contribute to the People's Bank, A/C No. 080-2-001-6-1112408.
