Twenty one teams for Mercantile Sevens

HOCKEY: Browns PLC will sponsor the ever popular 32nd Mercantile Hockey Sevens Knock Out tournament for the second consecutive year when it gets underway at the P. Saravanamutthu Stadium today from 8 a.m. onwards.

The award ceremony of the League and Knock Out tournament will also take place at the same venue in the evening.

Twenty one teams which include top players in the Mercantile sector will be pitted against each other in five separate divisions. 'A' division - for the Dennis de Rosayro trophy, donated by Janashakthi Insurance Company. Commercial Bank, Hatton National Bank 'A', Singer, Sampath Bank, Seylan Bank, HNB 'B'.

For 'A' division only. Dennis de Rosayro Trophy for fair play - Donated by IDAC (Pvt) Ltd.

'B' division Singer Trophy - Browns Group, Hong Kong Bank, John Keells Group.

'C' division - Lifebuoy Trophy - Dialog, Arpico, Commercial Bank 'B', SriLankan Air Lines and Uni Levers.

'D' division - Edmund H. Cooray Trophy - AWD Group, Airport and Aviation, Bartleets, Janashakthi Group, Uni Lever.

'E' division - Ceylon Cold Stores Trophy. Glaxo Smithkline, MJF Group, Colombo Hilton.
