Thomians take major honours

CRICKET: Chamal Fonseka produced a fine spell of bowling to help S. Thomas'College grab major honours in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match against Richmond College Galle which ended in a draw at Mount Lavinia yesterday.

Fonseka captured six wickets for 31 as Richmond College collapsed to 136 in reply to their opponents first innings total of 175 for 7 declared.

S. Thomas': 175 for 7 decl and 148 (F. Saleem 29, C. Pathirana 44, Y. Lanka 5 for 26, D. Silva 2 for 28).
