'Light for you, sight for me' fund

Orange Electric has offered its assistance for the third consecutive year to the Sri Lanka Federation of the Visually Handicapped for its islandwide program to eradicate preventive blindness.

The program called "Lighting up the world for someone in darkness" was first started in 2006 and Orange Electric re-signed the MoU with the Federation last week. Under the agreement Orange Electric funds the programs of the Federation such as to help needy patients to undergo cataract operations, provide spectacles for the needy, conduct eye camps and provide cutting edge and mission critical surgical operating machines to eye units in various hospitals in the country.

Orange electric allocates a portion of the revenue it earns from its electrical products to the "Light for You, Sight for Me" fund and customers, dealers and distributors and employees contribute to this CSR program.
