Troops hailed

MR was extremely happy to hear that the troops had captured Pooneryn, the last Tiger held area in the North Western coast. He cancelled a planned trip to Nuwara Eliya and chaired a meeting of the Council that is all about Security. He commended Gota and the victorious troops and ground commanders.

Ranil's karate

Ra-Blue was the chief guest at the international karate championships at the Kuliyapitiya Town Hall last week. Here too Ra-Blue deviated from the topic and spoke on politics. He outlined his recent talks with MR and said he had proposed a negotiated settlement for the problem in the North.

My-Lick v Abey

Ex-Chairman My-Lick and Vaj Abey had a heated argument at the wok com meeting. My-Lick reprimanded Vaj Abey for criticising Wedding Sam. Lucky Sene too joined the party and took on Vaj Abey. Lucky Sene was furious as Abey had gone to his electorate when Sene was abroad.

Johnny Boy has strongly advised Ra-Blue against talking about the Security Forces. "You don't know anything about the war and the sacrifices our soldiers are making. At a time the masses are with our gallant soldiers, you criticise the war and become laughing stock." Johnny said.

Green battle

The Elephant Party in the North Central Provincial Council is in a quandary after the leader named little-known Anu-Radha to fill the vacant Opposition leader's post at the Council that is Provincial after the death of Jaha-Naka. The Green provincial Em Pees have declared war over the decision, taken to please Aa-Killer, the Vee-Raj.

Poor Sam!

Having failed with his trump cards, Wedding Sam cut a sorry figure last week. It was on Ra-Blue's advice that Sam started a defence watch to come to the limelight. He later complained of death threats but nobody took Wedding Sam seriously, not even his green supporters. Poor lad!
