Sajeewa puts Colts on top

CRICKET: Left arm spinner Sajeewa Weerakoon snapped up four wickets
for 22 to put Colts CC well on course to an easy first innings victory
over Moors SC on the second day of their SLC Premier League Tier A
tournament match continued at Havelock Park yesterday.
Earlier Colts CC declared their first innings at a massive 502 for 7
with Dilruwan Perera, Chaminda Vaas and Rashan Peiris also making
significant contributions.

continued at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium yesterday.

BRC hit back
BRC after conceding first innings points hit back strongly to reduce
Saracens SC to 65 for 5 in their second innings on the second day of
their SLC Premier League Tier B tournament match continued at Havelock
Park yesterday.

NCC fight-back

Nondescript Cricket Club trailing by a massive 178-runs in the first
innings closed their second innings following a strong comeback at 135
for 3 on day two of their SLC Premeir League Tier ‘A’ Tournament match
against Baduraliya CC continued at Maitland Place yesterday.
The home side faced with a big first innings deficit fought back
through fine contributions from their top-order with Damith Indika the
number four batsman making an unbeaten 65.
Indika who has struck 10 boundaries and one six so far received able
support from Chanaka Wijesinghe not out on 26 as they have so far raised
on unbroken 54 run stand for the fourth wicket.
Earlier, Baduraliya CC resuming from an overnight 162 for 2, were
bowled out for a competitive total of 319, with Alankara Asanka top
scoring with 70.
Asanka along with T.M. Sampath who made 52, were involved in a superb
second wicket partnership of 127 runs that paved the way for the
visitors to pile-up an impressive first innings total.
Middle-order batsman Rasika Priyadarshana also scored a sparkling 63
with 10 fours as Baduraliya CC enjoyed the most of ideal batting
conditions.
