Golden Square Team Chess C'ship

CHESS: The Golden Square Team Chess Championship will be held on December 5, 6 and 7 at the Ratnavali Balika Vidyalaya.

A team will comprise five players with no reserves and the first starters will be players in the under 13, 14, 15, 16 and Open age groups with play starting at 3 p.m. on December 5.Then at 4 p.m. on the same day (Dec. 5) at 4 p.m., the players in the under 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 age groups will play.

All players will have to be under their respective age groups upto Dec. 31, 2008.

There will be 100 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and there will be 20 golden square championship trophies.

Two special prizes of air tickets for the best players in the senior and junior are on offer. All players who participate in the tournament will be awarded certificates.
