Musaeus retain Synchronised Swimming title
SWIMMING: Musaeus College retained the Senior National Synchronised
Swimming Championships title and carried away Barbara Flamer Caldera
Challenge Trophy while Visakha Vidyalaya were runners-up in the
competition.
The overall junior title was won by Anula Vidyalaya.
Dehara Ketapearachchi of Musaeus College perform the best in the
Senior Competition and Elisha Gomes of Visakha Vidyalaya was the second
best.
In the Junior Competition, Himashi Peiris and Prabashi Navaratne both
of Anula Vidyalaya gave impressive performances in both duet and solo
events.
Junior waterpolo
Royal College and Visakha Vidyalaya retained the boys and girls
waterpolo titles at the Junior National Waterpolo Championships.
In the boys final Royal beat S. Thomas' College by 11 goals to 4
while Visakha Vidyalaya received a walkover from Ladies College in the
girls final.
Diving
Royal College and Good Shepherd Convent, Kotahena emerged men's and
women's champions respectively in the National Diving Championships.
In the Junior Diving Royal College and St. Bridget's Convent became
champions in the boys and girls section respectively.
Royal College were presented the Norman Allan Smith Challenge Trophy
for men's tilte, Good Shepherd Convent received the SLASU Challenge
Trophy.
