SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit felicitates servicemen

The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Seva Vanitha Unit held a felicitation ceremony for the Sri Lanka Air Force Servicemen to mark the Ranaviru Week.

The function was held at the Air Force Headquarters yesterday with the participation of the Southern Province Governor Kumari Balasooriya as the Chief Guest.

Air Force Commander Air Marshal Roshan Goonetileke, President SLAF Seva Vanitha Nelun Goonetileke were present.

Presenting a deed of a house to an Airman disabled in combat, 120 Scholarships to children of SLAF Servicemen, granting interest-free loans to injured Air Force personnel and to the wives of the deceased servicemen were some of the events of the ceremony. The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit since its inception in June 30, 1984 have conducted numerous welfare activities for the service personnel and their families. DY
