Santa's workshop for children at Cinnamon Grand

The Cinnamon Grand has introduced a novel event to their Christmas line up with the advent of their premier children's activity: Santa's Workshop.

Debuting on December 22, Santa's workshop will run from 9.30 am. to 12.30 pm for children between 6 and 10.

The event, which comprises handicraft and cookery activities will take place in the Atrium Lobby. Promoting creativity, Santa's Workshop promises to be a morning rife with excitement and fun for your children. Santa's workshop endeavours to teach children that a little creativity and imagination will take them far. Handicrafts include Santa Claus candle, Christmas Tree, Reindeer Fridge Magnet and other items.

"We hope that the children will be inspired by this activity," said Cinnamon Grand's Leading Artist Weeraman, who will conduct the handicrafts activity. He said 'the sheer excitement and hilarity of the activity will be unparalleled.'

Other exciting handcraft activities are in store. Conversely, the cookery segment of the workshop leans towards teaching children how to prepare simple dishes. This activity ensures that your children will be held spellbound as they create the delicious dishes and will then indulge in them. "Cooking appeals to children because of the simplicity and fun behind the process," said Chef Ashan Liyanage, the host of the cookery section and the popular chef who also heads the Cheers Kids Club Culinary Camp. "The pride in eating something they have cooked themselves or giving a self-baked cookie to their mother or father is a long lasting reward," he said. Some of the dishes include Christmas Cookies, Mini Cakes and Yule Log.

The Atrium Lobby will be transformed into Santa's busy workshop at the North Pole for this special occasion.

A foam machine will bathe the Atrium Lobby in artificial snow, transporting the children to an icy land. In the midst of all this snow sits the friendly cosiness of Santa's workshop beckoning children for fun and games.

On entering this magical land, the children will be presented with their Elf Workshop Kit consisting of an elf hat, elf pouch and a cloth bag.
