Angelo and Nuwan put Colts on top

Angelo Mathew (168) and Nuwan Kulasekera (6 for 31) put Colts in a
strong position on day two as they forced CCC to follow on in their
Premier League cricket match against at Maitland Crescent yesterday.
The Colombo Colts Cricket Club who were 328 for 7 overnight reached
379 as Mathew who was unbeaten on 140 completed a fine 168 facing 259
deliveries with sixteen fours and a six. He was ably supported by
Sajeeva Weerakoon who struck an useful 46.
CCC in their first innings were shot out for 133 with only Jehan
Mubarak (42), Bathiya Perera (31) and Nisal Randika (33) making worth
while contributions. Nuwan Kulasekera was the destroyer in chief taking
six wickets, while Ishara Amarasinghe chipping in with a couple of
wickets.
Following on with a deficit of 246 , CCC were 28 for no loss.

Mahela Jayawardena, Kaushal Lokuarachchi and skipper Kaushal Silva
made half centuries to ensure SSC to obtain a first innings lead on the
second day of their Premier League cricket match against NCC at the SSC
grounds yesterday.
NCC were all out for 194 in the first Innings, and SSC who were 38
for 0 overnight went on to make 308 for 7 prior to declaring.

Rangana Herath celebrated his entry into the Sri Lanka test team with
a magnificent all round performance for Moors Sports Club on the second
day of their SLC Premier League Tier A tournament match against the Sri
Lanka Army Sports Club continued at Panagoda yesterday.
The left arm spinner bagged six wickets for 28 to help his team
snatch a close first innings lead of seven runs and then followed up
with a splendid knock of 55 inclusive of two sixes and four boundaries
in their second innings.
