Imran Bisthamin regains consciousness

RUGBY: Dynamic Kandy SC number eight Imran Bisthamin has regained his
consciousness following a three-week long battle to recover from a freak
head injury, his club-mate and former Sri Lanka rugby captain Sanjeewa
Jayasinghe told Sunday Observer. Jayasinghe said that having visited his
club colleague at the Kandy General Hospital (Teaching) the latter's
condition had become stable for the first-time in three-weeks after an
initial operation and subsequent treatment at the Intensive Care Unit
(ICU) of the Hospital. The former Sri Lanka rugby captain said that the
gifted back-row forward would at best will need to be in the ICU for a
further three-weeks according to doctors treating the ex-St. Anthony's
College, Katugastota captain.
