A ceremony to donate a casket to the Divaguha Raja Maha Viharaya to place sacred Buddha Relics brought from Tibet, was held at the Army Headquarters yesterday with the participation of the Maha Sangha and Army Commander Lt. General Sarath Fonseka. The Army donated this casket to Divaguha Rajamaha Vihara on a request by Divaguha Rajamaha Viharadhikari Ven. Meneripitiye Chandraratana Thera. Here the Army Commander hands over the casket after placing the sacred relics to Ven. Chandraratana Thera at this ceremony. The Maha Sangha also blessed Army Commander Lt. General Sarath Fonseka who celebrated his 58th birthday on December 18.
