CRICKET: Army SC trailing by 162 runs and asked to follow on were 58
for 2 in their second innings as defending champions SSC took control by
stumps on day two of their Premier League Tier 'A' match continued at
SSC Grounds, yesterday. Army SC in reply to SSC's first innings total of
355 all out, were shot out for 193 with Sri Lanka all-rounder Thilina
Kandamby being the chief wrecker with impressive figures of 4 for 36.
SSC (330-7 wkts cont.), 355 all out (Navantha Ratnayake 5 for 47).
Army SC 193 all out (Nalaka Kaluarachchi 45, Asela Guneratne 58,
Dilan Soyza 21, Thilina Kandamby 4 for 36, Chathupama Munasinghe 2 for

CCC enjoying a first innings lead of 127 runs were 82 for 3 in their
second innings for an overall lead of 209 runs with seven wickets in
hand by stumps on day two of their Premier League Tier 'A' match against
Chilaw Marians CC continued at Maitland Crescent yesterday.
CCC 376 and 82 for 3 wkts at close (Charith Sylvester 21, Bathiya
Perera 41 not out).

second essay as their Premier League Tier 'A' match against Bloomfield
looks set for a thrilling finish by the close of the second day at Reid
Avenue yesterday.

42, Shanuka Dissanayake 24, Tharanga Lakshitha 20, Kaushalya Weeraratne

CRICKET: Badureliya made a bold reply by scoring 256 for 4 to Moors
401 on the second day of their Premier League cricket match played at
Moors grounds yesterday.
Moors who were 327 for 7 overnight helped by a fine 70 by Anil
Rideegammanagedera and Sameera Weerasinghe (22) helped them to reach
their final total of 401.
In reply Badureliya's Dilshan Vitharana struck a valuable 92 and Upul
Fernando scored an unbeaten 75 for their side who were 256 for 4 at the
end of the day's play.

Tamil Union secured a first innings lead over Colts CC in their
Premier League cricket match played at Havelock Park yesterday.
In reply to Colts first innings score of 277 Tamil Union after being
67 for 1 overnight were all out for 289.
Ashan Priyanjana (88), Sajith Fernando (49) and M. Pushpakumara (48)
were the chief scorers.
