Palestine: President concerned

President Mahinda Rajapakse, deeply concerned about the violence in Gaza phoned President Mohamoud Abbas of the Palestine Authority and inquired about the situation there.

He had also informed the Palestine Authority President that Sri Lankan Ambassador in the United Nations and in the United States were instructed to do all they can to assist the Palestine people at this crucial moment, Palestine Solidarity Committee sources said.
