Tamil diaspora disappointed with LTTE

With significant repeated defeats suffered by the LTTE, the Tamil diaspora has warned the LTTE leadership their inability to garner international support and raise funds for the outfit and had asked them to resort to some other tactics to disrupt normalcy in the liberated areas and in other major cities, intelligence sources revealed. The diaspora have asked them to show the international community that they are LTTE still strong with its fighting capabilities and still stick to their original concept - Eelam, a separate Tamil State.

The diaspora, which funded the LTTE with the hope of facilitating the Tamils in the North and East, according to intelligence sources, have lost their faith in the LTTE and have already conveyed their displeasure over the way that the LTTE has treated the civilians in Vanni.

The diaspora has also criticised the decision of the LTTE to build their heavily fortified bunkers and offices in populated areas putting the lives of the innocent Tamils at a risk. Meanwhile, the security sources warned the public about possible LTTE attacks to divert the attention of the military and requested the public to continue to be vigilant over any suspected movement in Colombo and other major cities.
