Thisaru props up Cambrians

Thisaru de Mel scored a superb 102 runs including twelve hits to the ropes to put Prince of Wales' in a sound position in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match and also for the Major A. P. M. Peiris Trophy against Richmond College, Galle played at Moratuwa.

De Mel associated a fourth wicket partnership of 99 runs with his skipper Buddhika de Alwis who made 44 runs. All rounder Shehan Jayasuriya contributed 57 runs. For the visitors T. Nadeera gave some resistance with 3 for 92. At the end of day one in reply to Cambrian total of 298 for 7 declared Richmandies were 7 for no loss.
