Road Races by Kandy MC on Independence Day

ROAD RACE: Playgrounds Department of Kandy Municipal Council conducted Road Races on Independence Day.

Inter-School Race: 1. Indika Wickremaratne (Anuruddha Kumara Vidyalaya), 2. W. Jayaweera (Sri Sumangala Vidyalaya), 3. S. Dilip Kumara (Kalaimagal Vidyalaya), 4. J. Jayasundera (Sri Sumangala), 5. S. Polgolla (Sri Rahula).

Inter-Club Race: 1. M. Ajantha (Sri Lanka Army), 2. A. Bandara (Sri Lanka Army), 3. Manjula Wickremasinghe (Sri Lanka Army), 4. Ananda Bandara (Sri Lanka Army), 5. Gamini Jayasinghe (Sri Lanka Army).

Women's Open Race: 1. Sashie Praba (Sri Rahula), 2. K. Withanage (Sri Rahula), 3. Kavitha Samanthi (Sri Rahula), 4. Thilanka Nimali (Sri Rahula), 5. Dinuka Madhushani (Sri Rahula).

Inter-Playground and Community Centre Race: 1. Jeewan Kumara (Getambe Playground), 2. Kamal Thilakaratne (Mahauyawa MC Community Centre), 3. K. Dissanayake (Devi Road MC Community Centre), 4. M. Azlan (Katugastota MC Community Centre), 5. C. Prasad (Simonwatte MC Community Centre).

The prize distribution was held under the patronage of the Mayor of Kandy - L. B. Aluwihare.
