Exhibition of footwear components on March 2 and 3
"Indian Footwear Components Manufacturing Association (IFCOMA) and
Council for Leather Exports, India (CLE) are conducting the second Buyer
Seller Meet (BSM) cum exhibition of footwear components in Sri Lanka
from March 2 to 3 at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo. Sri Lankan government
has identified footwear industry as an ideal industry to generate
employment and as a foreign exchange earner. As such conducting this
event in Sri Lanka will be a boost to the local industrialists.
Colombo BSM will help especially small scale manufacturers to get a
very essential exposure to the latest developments in footwear
components manufacturing. This will be a stepping stone for Sri Lankan
industrialists to step in to the export markets.
As more than 20 well recognised suppliers will be displaying their
latest collection. This will be very cost effective opportunity to local
manufacturers. In addition once again it will be an opportunity to
revive the footwear industry in the eastern province and Jaffna
district.
IFCOMA and CLE invite all Sri Lankan manufacturers of footwear and
leather goods for the BSM cum exhibition. This is an "open invitation"
for technical collaboration among well established Indian manufacturers.
The organisers and participants are especially keen to meet the
footwear manufacturers from Western province and other interior
developing districts. During this two day buyer seller meet it is
anticipated that local industrialists will gather in large numbers to
capture technological development achieved by the Indian footwear and
leather goods manufacturers.
IFCOMA, a leading association in India has contributed in a big way
for the uplift of the footwear industry to the present status."
