Arts and crafts festival in June

A Arts and Crafts Marketing festival organised by the Ministry of Tourism Ministry of Rural Industries and Self Employment Promotion and National Crafts Council will be held in Sigiriya in June this year following the pattern of the Suraj Kund Kund Crafts Mela International Trade Fair in the Haryana State, India.

A team of officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Rural Industries and Self Employment Promotion, National Crafts Council and Provincial Ministries engaged in organising the arts and crafts festival, visited the Suraj Kund Crafts Mela on a study tour recently.

Minister of Tourism Haryana Kiran Choudhry, assured that all the assistance and support would be extended to Sri Lanka to make the festival a success when the delegation met her and agreed to send an advisory team.

The group visited the media with official of Haryana Tourism to study the arrangements.
