Gavisha Jayasuriya looking for sponsors....

CRICKET: A promising cricketer Gavisha Jayasuriya from Pinnawala College is likely to make a strong claim to play for the country. However, Jayasuriya is in need of funds right now to make a tour of Malaysia with the NCC conducted Asoka de Silva Cricket Squad on April 8.

Jayasuriya has excelled from Pinnawala Central College as a fine allrounder and has captained the college under-13, under - 15, under - 17 and under - 19. He is a steady opening batsman and right-arm off-spinner and has been a consistent run getter and highest wicket taker for College in the last cricket season.

He has made two tours to India in 2004 and 2008 with NCC conducted Asoka de Silva Cricket School and fared prominently. On both tours he was the best batsman.

Jayasuriya is not likely to make his third tour if the necessary finance are not found. So he is looking for a generous sponsor to come to his assistance.
