Richmond-Mahinda ends in a draw

The 104 th " Lovers Quarrel" between Mahinda college and Richmond College, Galle played on March 20 and 21 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium ended in a draw.

Mahinda who won the toss decided to field first. Richmond who batted first were 143 all out.

Although the strong batting line up of Richmond started off well their subsequent batsmen could not maintain a good rate of scoring.

However in reply Mahinda scored 148 for 6 wickets & declared possibly hoping a decision in the match which did not materialise. Richmond who were struggling to escape defeat were able to continue till the end of second day scoring 42 for 6 wickets.
