Chameka Madurawe selected for New South Wales

Chameka with the trophies she won in Australia, including the
Sydney Open and New South Wales Open Badminton Championships

BADMINTON: 16-year-old Chameka Madurawe, the former Mahamaya College,
Kandy and Sri Lanka National Badminton Player has been selected to play
for New South Wales State Badminton Team in Australia for the Clendinnen
Shield-2009 Australian Inter-State Championships to be played in Hobart,
Tasmania in August this year.
Her teammates include Stuart Gomez, the current Australian National
Champion.
Chameka, now a student at Pennant Hills High School in Sydney,
Australia is playing for Dash Badminton Club with Philip Wong and
Sampath Jayasekera as her coaches. |
