commemorated in various parts of the world. This little theme is
invasive species and their influence. On the Biodiversity day of Sri
Lanka’s green movement, the special theme was agro Bio-diversity. The
objective was to clarify the challenges to traditional gene resource and
concert in our attempt to identify conservation world for
agro-bio-diversity that was found that capacity of the gene resources to
guarantee food security is immense. The enormity of the agro
Bio-diversity we have and the ability to adapt to climatic changes pave
way for Sri Lanka’s to be successful in the future. However, it was seen
that weakness in the meteorologies in the conservation of these
resources, weakness in the coordination of institutional structures and
lack of clarity in legal matters have resulted in the decrease of agro
bio-diversity.
