Office bus service begins tomorrow

Under the guidance of Transport Minister Dullas Alahapperuma, the CTB will start an affiliated office bus service from the precincts of Dematagoda and Bambalapitiya Railway Stations simultaneously tomorrow at 7.30 a.m. in parallel to the train service, for the employees attached to the public and private sectors. Accordingly 20 buses will be deployed from Dematagoda to various parts of Colombo metropolitan area while 13 buses will be used for transport from the precincts of Bambalapitiya Railway Station.

CTB Chairman Dammika Hewapathirana will officially inaugurate the bus service from the precincts of Dematagoda Railway station tomorrow. The Transport Ministry is launching this special service with a view to provide an uninterrupted service for thousands of employees attached to the private and public sector according to the Ministry sources. According to the affiliated bus service the first bus will ply from Dematagoda to Mt. Lavinia through Torrington at around 7.30 a.m.
