GSK makes donation to IDPs
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), the country's leading consumer healthcare
company, donated a large consignment of its trusted products to the
Ministry of Trade and Commerce, recently, in the hope of giving much
needed relief to the Internally Displaced People (IDP) in the North and
East areas.The provisions were handed over to Minister Bandula
Gunewardene by GSK Consumer Healthcare's Director of Sales, Kumar de
Silva. The consignment included supplies of Panadol, Iodex, Horlicks,
Chocolate Horlicks and Horlicks Biscuits.GSK mission is to improve the
quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better and
live longer.
GSK Consumer Healthcare Chairman/Managing Director, Sachi Thomas
said, "in line with our global mission, we are honoured to be able to
help people of our country who are facing great adversities at this
point of time". The consignment of medicine and goods will be
transported by the Ministry of Trade and Commerce to IDP camps in the
North and East during the course of the week.
