Standard Chartered trade counter at Negombo

Steve Thompson

Standard Chartered Bank Sri Lanka recently opened a special Trade Counter to service its Garment Sector clientele in the Free Trade Zone. "This is a huge step in providing exclusive customer service to our customers in their time of need," said visiting Regional Head of Wholesale Banking Operations Steve Thompson who declared open the Trade Counter.

Two core apparel manufacturing customers MAS Holdings and Brandix Ltd are among the customers who will directly benefit from this service, by essentially helping them cut down their travel time to Colombo for the issuing of Air Freight Guarantees.

Now AFG documents can be handed over at the Trade Counter located in the Standard Chartered Bank Negombo Branch and will be processed on the same day at our Fort Branch and handed back in the evening or next morning to the customers through the Trade Counter.
