AAP celebrates 4th anniversary

The Academy for Administrative Professionals (AAP) celebrated the 4th year with a series of events. An `Awards Nite' was held at Colombo Hilton followed by the induction of the new members. Hony.

Academic Advisor of the AAP Prof. Carlo Fonseka was the Chief Guest on this occasion.

Secretarial and English language students who completed their studies received certificates while those who excelled in studies received their awards. 50 new members were inducted.

Executive Director of the AAP Ms. Sunethra Jayaratne said that the growth of the AAP during the last four years was remarkable.

The launch of the exclusively designed retirement scheme for the AAPers, is another significant feature for administrative professionals.

The secret of success is the team spirit with friendly disposition.

Scheduled programs for the year are front liners seminar, a residential seminar, a 4 nights, 5 days tour to Dubai - planned for early October followed by a day's seminar and the charity program.

The AAP has also achieved excellent rating in all programs so far and AAP has a greater task ahead of bettering the excellence to be super fantastic, she said.

Chief Guest Prof. Carlo Fonseka reiterated the importance of the administrative profession which carries greater responsibilities. A CEO heavily depends on his Executive Assistant at a time with the organisational structure being on par, with the management and the staff.

He further said that he has pleasure of being an Hony. Academic Advisor to the AAP, which is committed and dedicated to uplift the future of the administrative professionals, specially at this juncture where continuous education is of paramount importance for any professional.

The AAP, is a revolutionalised leader in training and skills development programs.

This would be an opportunity for the corporate sector to refer their employees who need proper training, specially in the secretarial field. Another noteworthy feature is the AAP's ability to secure employment for her students who successfully complete their courses.

The Academy conducts English courses in basic, intermediate and advanced modules, certificate and diploma in secretarial, Tamil langauge and the prestigious London Chamber of Commerce, Private Secretaries Diploma for Secretaries. Membership for the academy is free.
