Junior Hockey Nationals semi finalists

The semi-finalists were found in both the boys and women's sections at the 37th Junior National and 19th Women's Hockey Championships conducted by the Sri Lanka Hockey Federation played at Police Park yesterday.

The stickers from Sri Lanka Schools `Gold', Wennappuwa HA, Colombo HA and Matale HA recorded good wins to qualify for the last four berths in the boys championships.Meanwhile Sri Lanka Schools, Defence Services HA, Kandy HA and Colombo HA moved to the semi-finals in the women's championships.

Today the women's semi-finals will be played at 7 a.m. The line up Defence Services vs Colombo HA and Sri Lanka Schools HA vs Kandy HA. The finals will be at 3 p.m.

The boys semi-finals between Sri Lanka Schools `Gold' vs Wennappuwa HA and Colombo HA vs Matale HA will be worked off at 8 a.m. and the finals at 4 p.m.

The match results - Women's Tournament - Sri Lanka Schools HA beat Colombo HA 3-2, Gampaha HA beat Kalutara HA 7-0, Defence Services beat Kandy 1-0, Matale HA beat Uva HA 1-0, Colombo HA beat Galle HA 8-0.

Boys Tournament - Defence Services beat Gampaha HA 12-0, Colombo HA beat Schools Maroons 6-0, Matale HA beat Uva HA 10-0, Schools `Gold' beat Kalutara HA 4-0, Wennappuwa HA beat Schools `Maroons' 5-1, Kandy HA beat Galle HA 7-1, Matale beat Kandy HA 7-2, Schools `Gold' beat Uva HA 4-0, Kalutara HA drew with Galle HA 1-1.
