AFSL appoints Director

Kithsiri Wanigasekera has been appointed as the Executive Director of Abans Financial Services Limited (AFSL) from June 1.

Wanigasekara has functioned as the Chairman/Managing Director of Sinhaputhra Finance Limited, (a CBSL Registered Finance Company) for 17 1/2 years up to September 30, 2007. He was also the Chairman of the Finance Houses Association of Sri Lanka in 1998, 1999 and 2000.

He is a Past Chairman of Kandy Hotels Co., (1938) Ltd., the owners of Queen’s Hotel and Hotel Suisse. He is an Accountant by profession and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise from the finance company sector in Sri Lanka that spans over 25 years.
