Viharamahadevi B.V.  under 19 soccer champs

GIRLS SOCCER CHAMPS...: Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya, Kandy emerged champions in the under 19 Girls Football Tournament organised by the Education Department, Kandy and played at the Bogambara Grounds, Kandy.

In the final, Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya beat Pushpadana Vidyalaya, Ambatenna by 1 goal to nil, with the winning goal being scored by Amitha Pushpamala.

In the earlier rounds, Viharamahadevi Balika beat D. S. Senanayake Vidyalaya, Kandy 1-nil and they also beat Gamini Dissanayake Vidyalaya, Kotmale by 5 goals to nil before coming into the final. In third place was Navodya Vidyalaya, Piawala.
