Tab on errant Govt officials

Stringent legal action will be taken against Government officials who neglect the Dengue eradication program being conducted by the Government in the Central Province, Central Province Indigenous Minister Ediriweera Weerawardane said.

He said that the Central Province Health Ministry is playing a key role to eradicate the spread of Dengue throughout the province.

The service of the Grama Niladharies, Samurdhi Development Officers, health officials and agriculture development officers in Kandy, Matale and Nuwara Eliya Districts are crucial to successfully conduct this program.

He cautioned the public to be vigilant of Dengue.

He also stressed the necessity of keeping the house and school environment and public places clean. MN
