Ms Lanka 2009 - Beauty for a Cause:

We’ve been inundated with countless requests especially from aspiring
contestants from the outstations and so the organisers have decided to
extend the closing date for the entries to July 22, 2009. Isn’t that
wonderful! That means more of you can sit down and send in your
applications with no stress since July 14 won’t be the last date, to
participate in the Ms Lanka - Beauty for a Cause. You have to experience
the magic world of being involved in a Beauty contest. It’s a
once-in-a-lifetime happening. Ms Lanka gives you the opportunity to be
admired, appreciated and to be the winner of the coveted crown. Most
important of all you experience a transformation of yourself that is
unbelievable.
Now that we’ve given you the good news that the closing date for
applications has been extended to July 22, 2009, the next bit of good
news is that from next week those who have sent in their applications
will be called for an interview and photographs which will be taken for
the Sunday Observer Most Popular Contestant. So readers of the Sunday
Observer this is where you can help and support your favourite
contestant by sending as many votes on the coupon that will be published
in the Sunday Observer weekly. Keep buying your copy of the Sunday
Observer and be updated with the programme.
Ms Lanka 2009 - Beauty for a Cause is presented by Technique
International together with the Sunday Observer. The Mt. Lavinia Hotel
is the official Hotel and the selection of the Lavinia Queen is an
exotic programme. Other sponsors are MAX TV, Sterling Flowers, Softlogic
and Radio One.
This annual event is in its 15th successive year and according to
Gwendoline Kuhatheva. The aim is to enhance the lives of children with
disabilities and bring joy into their lives.
