Minister to distribute cricket equipment

CRICKET: Minister of Sports and Public Recreation Gamini Lokuge will make a tour of the Ampara District in the Eastern Province to distribute cricket equipment to schools in the district at a ceremony to be held at D.S. Senanayake College, Ampara, today, Sunday, July 26th at 10.30 a.m.

Also accompanying the Minister will be Manager Coaching of Sri Lanka Cricket Malcolm Perera and the newly appointed Uva Provincial Cricket Coach of Sri Lanka Cricket Chaminda Kodikara.

Members of Parliament, Provincial Councils and Pradeshiya Sabhas are also expected to be present at this grand function. Eight schools will be the beneficiaries of this donation of cricket equipment and mattings which will go a long way to help them to improve their standard of cricket.
