CRICKET: On a dramatic opening days play a total of 21 wickets fell
as Moors SC after been dismissed for 137 hit back strongly to skittle
out their opponents Colts CC for a paltry 106 runs in their first
innings on the opening day of their SLC Under-23 Division I Cricket
Tournament match which commenced at Havelock Park yesterday.
Moors SC: 137 (I. Gouse 34, I. Gunasena 32, R. Weerasingh 6 for 38,
D. Auwardt 2 for 14) and 19 for 1.
Colts CC: 106 (M. Kumara 47, N. Perera 19, A. De Alwis 4 for 35, P.
Hewage 4 for 24, S. Weerasinghe 2 for 19).

Sanjaya Fernando captured five wickets for 30 as SSC dismissed
Panadura SC for a modest 149 runs in their first innings on the opening
day of their SLC Under-23 Division I Cricket Tournament match which
commenced at Maitland Place yesterday.
Panadura SC: 149 (R. Cooray 33, I. Dinindu 24, S. Karunanayake 2 for
23, S. Fernando 5 for 30).
SSC: 164 for 4 (D. Karunaratne 33, B. Rajapaksa 26, H. Fernando 29).
Bloomfield amass 303
Dashing opening batsman Dilshan Munaweera hammered a splendid 166
inclusive of four sixes and eleven boundaries as Bloomfield rattled up a
formidable 303 in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC
Under-23 Division I Cricket Tournament match against Kurunegala YCC
which commenced at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Inter-Club Under-23 league Tournament cricket match against Moratuwa
Sports Club played at De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa and organised by Sri
Lankan Cricket.
The notable feature of visitors innings was three good knocks coming
off the bats of Sangaran Nandalal 68, Pubudu Edirisinghe 59 and Yohan
Fernando 58.
