Outstation's Krishan Wickremarachchi gets most votes ....:
Close tussle for top spot in All-Island Contest
There seems to be a interesting competition in the contest for the
Outstation Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year Contest and at
the end of voting on Coupon No. 6 Krishan Wickremarachchi's of Gamini
Maha Vidyalaya, Bentota leads with 7,419 votes. Wickremarachchi's votes
even beats the lead of the All Island Contest leader Charith Jayampathi
of D. S. Senanayake College who has collected 6,783 votes.
In the All-Island Contest there seems to be a close contest between
two boys of D. S. Senanayake College as lying second is Naveen Kavikara
also of D. S. Senanayake with 6,364 votes. The difference between
Jayampathi and Kavikara is only 419 votes and it all points to be a
close tussle in the home-and-home contest.In the Outstation Contest,
after Krishan Wickremarachchi comes S. H. Indunil Kumara of
Devapathiraja Vidyalaya, Ratgama is presently second with 5,596 votes.
