Adyapana will attract students from the East
The 4th annual ADYAPANA Education and Career Exhibition which is to
take place from October 17th -19th will dedicate the 2nd day of the
exhibition to the students of the East. The Eastern Provincial Council
is to facilitate a large delegation of Advanced Level Students led by
Chief Minister of the Eastern Provincial Council S. Chandrakanthan, will
inaugurate the exhibition on the 2nd day.
The student delegation will represent all three communities Sinhala,
Tamil and Muslim from all three Districts Trincomalee, Batticaloa and
Ampara, said the organizers Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services.
The Eastern province which is one of the most affected in the country
is also one of the most resourceful, colourful and diversified parts of
our country.
The infrastructure for education is also quite minimal though
university education is available in the province, not all have access
to Higher Education. In comparison to the North, the East is more
affected due to the fact that there is yet a large population of people
living in the East right throughout the war.
Most people in the East are living in a state of poverty and this
opportunity provided to them to seek greener pastures through
exhibitions such as ADYAPANA is the need of the hour.
Study today for a better tomorrow which is the theme of the
exhibition is a very appropriate one. This exhibition which will take
place over a period of three days is expected to be inaugurated on the
1st day by the Minister of Higher Education, Hon. Vishva Warnapala.
ADYAPANA will have educational institutes offering Diploma, Graduate and
Post Graduate courses which can be followed locally and internationally.
Courses will range from IT, Business Studies, Aviation to Secretarial
etc. covering almost all educational areas that will help the students
in order to choose their career path way for a better tomorrow. There
will also be universities from, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, India,
New Zealand, USA, and the UK. Some of the leading local Institutes such
as the German Tech, Ceylon Hotel School, CINEC, APIIT, ACBT, will be
representing themselves at the Exhibition.
The main objective of this Exhibition is to provide Higher Education
opportunities to the youth of Sri Lanka. Annually abut 220,000 students
sit the Advanced Level Examination and out of which only 16,000 students
enter the Sri Lankan Universities.
The ultimate aim of ADYAPANA is to provide higher education to rest
of the students.
