35th National Sports Festival:
Anushka WITHANAGE in Polonnaruwa.
On a sad second day of the 35th National Sports Festival in
Polonnaruwa D. A. Inoka (Central Province) was the first to win a medal
when she clocked a time 18.26.62 seconds for the 5000m.
In the men’s shot put Charith Kapukotuwa (North Central Province)
with throw of 14.53 meters managed to win the event.
The meet will concluded today with events starting at 7.30 a.m. The
event is organized by the Ministry of Sports and Recreation and
sponsored by Nestle Lanka Ltd.

High jump men: Udara Silva (North Central Province) 2.06m.
