Vidura College - under 15 'D' Division Champs

BADMINTON: Vidura College, Nawala won the W. Jinasena Silva Memorial Under 15 "D" division Badminton Tournament conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association at the Welegedera Stadium recently.

The following schools participate in the 'D' division tournament: Kegalu Vidyalaya, Sri Devananda College, Ambalangoda, President's College, Rajagiriya, Vidura College, Nawala, Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda and Sri Sumangala College, Kandy.

In the semi-finals, Vidura College - Nawala beat Devananda College, Ambalangoda by 2 set to one, the scores being 21-18, 21-15 and 16-21. Then in the second semi-final, President's College, Rajagiriya beat Sri Sumangala College, Kandy also by two sets to one, the scores being 21-14, 16-21 and 21-18.

In the final, Vidura College, Nawala beat President's College, Rajagiriya by two sets to one. The scores were: 21-14, 15-21 and 21-16.
