Seminar for teachers on new syllabus
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL), the
leading accountancy education provider of the country had initiated a
move to educate teachers of the Western province on the New Accounting
Syllabus which is to be applied in the near future.
ICASL for the past few years have been conducting seminars of this
calibre as part of its social responsibility thus empowering the
educational sector of our country and paving them a clear avenue towards
the path of development
The seminar will be held on October 9, under the series of Guru Nena
seminars conducted with the motive of bringing the latest advancement of
the Accounting subject to our very own shores.
President, ICASL Nishan Fernando said that to uplift the standards of
students and education we have to enrich our teachers; It is what we
intend to do at the end of the day with seminars of this calibre.
This Seminar would mainly focus on the New Syllabus applicable for
Accountancy for G.C.E Advanced Level students; and would carefully
articulate the new theories which are included in this new curriculum.
The Seminar would be conducted by G.A. Dayananda and Anil Fernando
both who are Senior Lecturers of the Department of Accounting and
Financial Management at the University of Sri Jayawardenapura.
T. Dharmarajah a Council Member and an experienced lecture would too
articulate the new concepts that are included to the Accountancy
subject.
