Dharmaraja College Colours Nite...

COLOURS NITE: Dharmaraja College, Kandy held their annual 'Colours Nite' celebrations on October 2 at the College Auditorium under the patronage distinguished old boy Brigadier Nishshanka Ranawana, RWP, RSP, PSC, General Officer Commanding the 61st Division of the Sri Lanka Army. Aruna Kalinga - former Rugby Captain and Chandana Ekanayake - former Athletic Captain of the school were the guests of honour.

There were 16 students who won the prestigious 'Dagoba' Award for Best Sportsman in any field. There were 38 students who won 'Colours' for various sports disciplines while over 150 students won certificates of Merit.

The following received the 'Dagoba' awards:

ATHLETICS:H. M. N. N. Herath, H. W. M. G. I. Herath, H. Vithanage, H. P. N. K. Senarathe.

BADMINTON: H. A. H. S. Perera, I. U. Gurusinghe.

CHESS: Y. D. B. Madugalla, D. I. S. Siriwardena, L. J. Perera, L. N. Perera, D. B. Ratnayake, S. R. Gunawardena, R. M. C. M. Rajapakse.

CRICKET: R. M. J. C. Ratnayake.

RUGBY FOOTBALL: D. Gunathilake.

FOOTBALL: K. M. R. R. Kumara.
