Charity work by NIBM Students

The Lotus Club of the National Institute of Business Management constructed a bus halt at Rajagiriya in front of the Rajagiriya Cargills Super Market and opened for the benefit of the public on September 26.

This project was undertaken as charity by a group of 12 students as part of their course BSc in Management Information Systems (MIS). The Lotus Club raised funds for this cause using a new concept named "Charity Through Marketing".

They used this concept by selling promotional stickers advertising the degree award status given to the NIBM by the University Grants Commission.

The project was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sunil Jayantha Nawarathne. The Lotus Club hopes to continue and undertake similar projects in future.
