Softball cricket sixes Nov 14 and 15

CRICKET: Kandy District Sports Development Foundation is organising the 4th Softball Six-a-Side Cricket Tournament for the General Anuruddha Ratwatte Challenge Shield on November 14, 15, 2009 at the Police Grounds, Kandy - play starts each day at 9.00 a.m. The opening ceremony will be held on the 14th attended by the President of the KDSDF, General Anuruddha Ratwatte, DIG (CP) Pujith Jayasundera, Brigadier S.R. Manawaduge and other officials of the foundation. Last year, Abeetha SC Balagolla Police area team won the Championship and Katugastota Eksath Sports Club won the Runners-up Trophy.

Following teams have been invited for the tournaments: Abeetha SC, Balagolla, Red Diamond SC, Udu Dumbara, Deiyannewela SC, Kandy, Gangawata Korale SC, Kandy, Pujapitiya SC, Pujapitiya, Pathahewaheta SC, Eksath SC, katugastota, Suhada SC, Patha Hewaheta, Honest SC, Meda Dumbara, Mahaiyawa CC, Kandy, Patha Dumbara SC and Dodanwala SC, Kandy.
