CIMA Technical Symposium on December 3
The CIMA Technical Symposium will be held on December 3 at Cinnamon
Lakeside Colombo. The keynote address themed 'Enterprise governance -
Restoring boardroom leadership' will be delivered by Thought Leadership
Specialist, Profile and Communications, CIMA Gillian Lees.
The introduction to the technical sessions will be delivered by
Managing Director, Development Concepts (Pvt) Ltd. Sudarshan Senaratne
while the welcome address will be by Regional Director, CIMA Bradley
Emerson.
A session themed Practical insights: 'Strategic corporate
sustainability - The emerging paradigm for sustainable business and
Enterprise Governance' by the Chief Executive Officer, Sri Lanka
Institute of Nanotechnology (Pvt) Ltd., Ravi Fernando will start the
technical sessions.
The first paper themed 'Creating shareholder value' will be presented
by the Chief Financial Officer, Hemas Holdings, Malinga Arsakularatne.
The panel Discussion and Q and A session will be Moderated by Sutheash
Balasubramaniam, Chief Executive Officer, Hayleys Business Solutions
International Ltd and the Panellists are Chief Executive Officer, Hatton
National Bank PLC Rajendra Theagarajah and Partner, Ernst and Young,
Manil Jayasinghe.
The Paper two themed 'Data, information and intelligence - Using
Business Intelligence to enhance profitability in uncertainty' will be
presented by Global Chief Risk Officer, Butterfield Fulcrum, Ravi Raman,
while the Paper three themed 'Strategic execution' will be presented by
the Vice President (Vehicle Sales), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., India,
Bharatendu Kapoor.
The paper four themed 'Are your performance measurements driving the
right behaviour?' will be presented by Executive Director, John Keells
Holdings PLC, Main Board, and the Group Finance Director of John Keells
Group, Ronnie Peiris.
The panel discussion and Q and A session will be Moderated by
National Finance Director, Unilever Sri Lanka Ltd., Shrihan Perera while
the Panellist is Managing Director, Jetwing Hotels PLC Shiromal Cooray.
