AFC official draw tomorrow

FOOTBALL: The match schedule for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup soccer tournament will be finalised and the official draw will take place tomorrow, Monday 30th November at the California Grill at Galadari Hotel, Colombo at 6 p.m.

The officials from the Asian Football Confederation and the Football Federation of Sri Lanka will be present on the occasion.

The Asian Football Confederation entrusted the Football Federation of Sri Lanka to host and conduct the AFC Challenge Cup final round matches. Special Mission from AFC inspected the venues for the matches and they have 'okayed' said Rukmal Perera, Media Co-ordinator, FFSL. Infact the work on the improvement of floodlight system at the Sugathadasa Stadium is in progress and will be ready before end of January.

Nine countries-South Korea, Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Mynmaar, Terkmehistan, Thajikistan, Kirkistan and Qatar have qualified to compete in the final round matches in the championships.
