Brendon School of Cricket on 12th tour overseas

CRICKET: The under 15 cricket team from Brendon School of Cricket will make their 12th overseas tour when they go to India on December 9 for a tour which will be made up of ten matches. The matches will be in Bangalore, Mysore and Chennai. Each player is expected to play six matches on tour which becomes a part of their training.

The idea behind this tour is to expose the young players in getting used to playing matches. The local lads will be up against strong teams as Jain International School, J. P. Cricket Academy, Kanara Blues Cricket Academy and Mac Sports Academy - all in Bangalore and Mysore University Cricket Academy and Mandia Cricket Academy.

The Brendon School of Cricket team will be captained by Dasan Wijesinghe and the vice captain will be Sadiq Hamin. The team is somewhat inexperienced, but the boys are keen and they should get enough experience with the tour.

The manager of the team will be Sunil de Silva - the former Cambrian cricketer and the coaches are: K. D. S. P. Samantha and Nadeep Jayasinghe.
