Hemas' Hospital completes one year of quality service

The state-of-the-art hospital Hemas celebrates first anniversary. A member of the Hemas Group, it has made a name for itself in this short period as a patient-friendly hospital with the latest state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Built to international standards, the 100-bed Hemas Hospital provides a wide range of services available in any top grade hospital coupled with a pleasant environment and an efficient, courteous staff. Speaking of the experience gained over the past one year, Chairman Murtaza Esufally says they have gained a stronger understanding of the commercial side of the hospital industry. "When we do our future hospitals we will be able to fine tune a few things," he said.

While a second hospital is also in operation in Galle, he said that there are no immediate plans for expansion although they are clear in their minds as to their approach. "We will continue to look at more middle income populations who value quality healthcare services near their homes.

We will endeavour to provide quality at a reasonable price to cover day to day healthcare and hospital needs using the latest technology and investing in professional staff," he explained.
