Essential tips for approaching women

Smile

Approaching women might make you a bit nervous but don't forget to smile. First impressions matter. If you walk up to a woman without so much as a grin, you're either going to look menacing or boring. When you smile, you look welcoming, inviting and friendly. People will be more inclined to talk to you and joke with you. If you look sullen and nervous, people are going to treat you like you're sullen and nervous.

Don't hesitate

The standard rule is that once you've made good eye contact, you can't wait longer than five seconds to approach a woman. The longer you wait, the more time you have to psych yourself out. Furthermore, if a woman notices you staring at her from across the room, you're either going to creep her out or make her nervous.

Stand up straight

From the moment you approach her, your posture will define you. So walk up to her slowly and with confidence. Take larger than normal strides. Keep your chin up and your shoulders back. Be sure to maintain good posture throughout your introduction and conversation.

Don't interrupt

As much as you want to approach with confidence, you don't want to come off as conceited or rude. If she's deep in conversation with a friend or listening to someone else tell a story, don't just barge in and start talking over everyone.
